Down To Earth Crab Meal 4-3-0 - 5 lb

This slow release OMRI Listed Crab Meal is a superb source of organic nutrients, including nitrogen, phosphorous and calcium! Down To Earth Crab Meal, 4-3-0 is derived from Dungeness crab meal that is air-dried at low heat and crushed for uniform application. Rich in chitin it will encourage populations of beneficial soil microorganisms to release enzymes can help control pest nematode populations. It can be applied anywhere in the garden and is especially helpful in vegetable gardens and flower beds and used as a compost amendment.

Application Rate:

• Vegetable Gardens & Flower Beds: Apply at 5 – 10 lbs per 100 square ft. Mix into soil ~ 6 - 8".
• For transplants: Apply 1 – 2 tablespoons per hole. Water well. Use as a top dressing twice annually at the rate of 2 – 3 lbs per 100 square ft.
• Outdoor Containers: For new plantings apply ½ cup per cubic ft of soil. For established plants, mix 1-2 tbsp per gallon of soil.
• Trees and Shrubs: Spread 1-2 lbs per 1" of trunk diameter, spreading from 1" from the base to the drip line. Rake in gently and water well.
